A degree of polarization &lt;5% provides users with a high design efficacy, making strain or temperature measurements more precise than ever before. It also allows a simple and more cost-effective overall system design of fiber-optic sensor instruments. For a start, the SLED comes in a butterfly package which emits 10mW.
